Cisco Meraki is the industry leader in cloud-controlled networking. Our partnership with them enables us to offer high-quality networking equipment that can scale to any sized business, with detailed control and management easily available from a single web-accessible dashboard.

Here are some of the highlights of Cisco Meraki’s devices:

Wireless Access Points

Cisco Meraki’s cloud-managed wireless access points simplify management while offering more visibility into your network. Their MR line of access points can scale to any size environment, and are easier and quicker to deploy than traditional network devices. With Meraki access points, you get:

High Capacity

  • Mesh networking extends coverage to hard-to-wire areas and creates a self-healing network that is resilient to cable and switch failures
  • Ideal for HD audio and video, offering higher speeds over wider bandwidths
  • Dedicated dual-band third radio scans the environment continuously for interference and contains wireless threats such as rogue access points
  • Highly scalable plug-and-play deployment

Unmatched Visibility and Control

  • Classify applications, create bandwidth limits, and prioritize, restrict, or block traffic
  • Configure custom group policies that can be easily applied to devices or users
  • Detect and neutralize wireless threats with a built-in wireless intrusion prevention solution
  • Reveal metrics such as visitor capture rate, duration or visit, and repeat visits

Because Cisco Meraki wireless access points are centrally managed from the cloud, they’re ideal for businesses with multiple locations or remote offices.

Firewalls

MX400-Internals

Cisco Meraki’s security appliances are considered the industry’s only 100% cloud-managed Unified Threat Management appliance. Their MX devices include the following services:

  • Firewall
  • Content filtering
  • Web search filtering
  • Intrusion prevention
  • Web caching
  • Intelligent WAN with multiple uplinks and 4G failover

MX appliances self-provision, automatically pulling policies and configuration settings from the cloud. Powerful remote management tools provide network-wide visibility and control, and cloud services deliver seamless firmware and security signature updates, automatically establish site-to-site VPN tunnels, and prove round-the-clock network monitoring.

The MX platform boasts an extensive suite of security features including IPS, content filtering, web search filtering, anti-virus and anti-fishing initiatives, geo-IP based firewalling and security rules, and IPsec VPN connectivity, all while providing the performance required for modern, bandwidth-intensive networks.

Layer 7 fingerprinting technology allows us to identify unwanted contented and applications, and prevent recreational apps from wasting precious bandwidth.

The integrated Sourcefire SNORT engine delivers superior intrusion protection coverage, a key requirement for PCI 3.0 compliance, and these industry-leading security features are always kept up-do-date via the cloud.

Switches

Cloud-managed switching from Cisco Meraki allows us to centrally manage the entire network from a single location: multi-site, wired, wireless, security, communications, and MDM. With virtual stacking, we can unify management of up to thousands of ports, and cloud-based provisioning allows us to add port capacity or deploy entire new sites without pre-staging.

Built-in topology automatically creates an intelligent map of how your network physically interconnects, while layer 7 inspection reveals users, applications, and devices. From the same intuitive dashboard, we can easily control access security, power over ethernet (PoE), VoIP, and energy savings.

All of Cisco Meraki’s switches are available in 8-port, 24-port or 48-port configurations, and include powerful troubleshooting tools such as remote packet capture, event log, and cable tests. Quality-of-service (QoS) rules can be easily applied to prioritize business-critical traffic.

Mobile Device Management

Cisco Meraki’s Mobility Management solution is ideal for businesses with a BYoD (bring your own device) policy. Their Systems Manager allows us to securely manage mobile phones, tablets, laptops, and desktop computers. Devices, applications, and users are easily and simply managed via the Meraki Cloud dashboard.

With the Systems Manager, we can push apps and content, block apps, or remove unwanted apps, providing the security necessary to protect your business from the 10% of apps which are considered malicious without the need to ban mobile devices entirely. Automatic device enrolment and dynamic policy management saves time and money, and the dashboard allows us to enforce passwords, restrict access, and track device location in real time.

More information on any of the above devices is available at your request. If you would like to find out more about how Cisco Meraki can benefit your business, please give us a call at 604-628-6961 or email us at [email protected]
